Your Invite to Andalusia’s Most Creative Queer Gathering
Dear Beautiful Human,
You are warmly invited to attend a gathering of creative queer minds in southern Spain at Glainne Retreat in Andalusia.
From January 11–17, 2026, thirty gay men will come together in a beautifully restored Moorish palace to unlock their full creative potential—and you could be among them. Guided by seven acclaimed facilitators, including singer David McAlmont, author Paul Burston, ceramic artist Roberto Lugo, and performance artist Colin Seymour (also known as Drag Race superstar Crystal), you’ll take part in a rich program featuring writing labs, embodied practice, dancing, a clay studio culminating in a collaborative installation, Spanish-themed cultural events, and more.
Every conversation, meal, and performance is designed to inspire connection and community while honoring your individual journey. Together, you and your fellow artistas will explore four key questions: How do we let others portray us? Who do we allow them to see? Who are we—and how do we want to be seen?
Only you can discover those answers—and at Glainne Retreat, they await you.
Yours creatively,
Glainne Retreat in Andalusia

Join the Who’s Who of Creative Queer Minds
Glainne Retreat in Andalusia is a place to experiment under the tutelage of seven renowned queer artists and scholars in a paradisiacal setting. The renovated Moorish palace, perched high in the Andalusian mountains, is Spanish beauty incarnate — the perfect backdrop for a journey of self-discovery.
The retreat’s facilitators will not lead you to a destination but will create the conditions for you to explore your potential as both an artist and an individual. The diverse cast includes author Paul Burston, ceramicist Roberto Lugo, singer-songwriter David McAlmont, art historian and queer curator Jonathan D. Katz, writer Alim Kheraj, flamenco choreographer Fernando López, and performance artist Colin Seymour (also known as Drag Race superstar Crystal).
Alongside them and a community of inspired guests, you’ll spend a week immersed in workshops, thought-provoking discussions, and enriching activities designed to put your ideas into practice — emphasizing attention over spectacle and intimacy over scale. But most important is what you bring to the table! At Glainne Retreat Andalusia will awaken your creativity — one sunrise, one conversation, one transformation at a time.
